Here at TheCreativeLoop, we aim to bring you ideas for projects, patterns, tutorial, tips, tricks and advice to turn you into an expert in no time, all in one place. One issue I had when starting out was struggling to find patterns that were actually cute and fit my style, so I want to help you solve this problem!
When you’re just starting out a new hobby, the last thing you often want to go and do is invest a bunch of money into something you don’t even know if you like yet. As you scroll the internet looking for patterns and projects to crochet, you’re going to hit a lot of paywalls. People put a lot of time and effort into creating, writing, testing and publishing their patterns and deserve to be paid for their efforts. However, many artist generously make their patterns and tutorials available for all of us to enjoy for free! During my time as a crochet artist, I have used and appreciated many free patterns by other incredible artists and websites that I’d love to share with you.
If you’re looking for online websites that provide free patterns, check out my favourite free online crochet pattern sites.

1. Flower Power Fingerless Gloves Pattern by Sparrow Fibre
Sparrow Fibre on Ribblr has created these gorgeous fingerless gloves and allowed us to use her pattern for free! I made two pairs of these when I was a beginner and gifted them to my sister and a friend, they loved them! Of course, you can switch up the colours to suit your personal style and could even switch the flower applique for something else, or opt out of adding it to the gloves all together. Give this free pattern a go and be sure to tag SparrowFibre’s socials when you share your own amazing creation!
